Tina’s Noodle Kitchen
237 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Part of the Dainty Sichuan empire, Tina’s Kitchen offers comforting noodle soups that come out piping hot in a clay bowl.
Opted this time for the shredded pork with pickled vegetables, which was tasty with just a hint of that signature Sichuan spice.
A bowl of noodles for around $14 is not exactly the cheapest going around, but the portions are generous, and can be easily shared between two people. Service is of the standard you would expect from these types of restaurants – not super attentive, but not rude either.
Tina’s is a popular spot, often with a line out the door during these cold winter months, although I suspect it might become less busy as the weather warms up.
Overall, a satisfying lunch.
